Sugar gains on mild retail demand

Sugar prices moved up marginally at the Vashi Wholesale market here today on mild buying from retailers.

Medium sugar quality (M-30) edged up by Rs five per quintal to Rs 2,911/2,991 from Thursday's closing level of Rs 2,906/2,991.

Small sugar quality (S-30) also looked up by a similar margin to Rs 2,891/2,931 per quintal as against Rs 2,886/2,931 yesterday.
