Sugar millgate prices up on buying support

Sugar millgate prices rose by Rs 30 per quintal in the national capital today following increased buying by stockists and bulk consumers.

However, sugar spot prices ruled flat on some support.

Market analysts said ongoing marriage season and rise in mercury encouraged stockist and bulk consumers to increase their stocks, which led to the rise in mill prices.  

Among millgate section, sugar kinnoni rose by Rs 30 to Rs 2,910 per quintal, while asmoli traded higher by Rs 25 to Rs 2,900 per quintal. 

Sugar Dorala and Mawana also moved up by Rs 20 each to settle at Rs 2,860 and Rs 2,850 per quintal, respectively.

Mill delivery M-30 2,750-2,925 and S-30 2,725-2,900
