Urad, moong fall on adequate supply

Urad and moong prices fell by Rs 200 per quintal in the wholesale pulses market today on sluggish demand at prevailing levels against adequate supply following increased arrivals.
Marketmen said adequate stocks position following increased arrivals from the producing belts mainly pulled down wholesale urad and moong prices.
Urad and its dal chilka local fell by Rs 200 each to Rs 4,400-4,950 and Rs 5,100-5,500, while best quality and dhoya traded lower by the same margin at Rs 5,700-6,000 and Rs 5,800 -5,900 per quintal.
Moong and its dal chilka local followed suit and lost Rs 200 each to Rs 4,250-4,650 and Rs 5,050-5,450 per quintal.
Similarly, dhoya local and best quality weakened by the similar margin to Rs 5,600-5,800 and Rs 6,200-6,400 per quintal.
