Wall St ends flat; Indian ADRs mostly down

Late buying in banking shares helped the US indexes end on a flat note yesterday. The Dow Jones Industrial Average was up a point at 8,764. The Nasdaq was down seven points at 1,842.

Indian ADRs, however, ended mostly with losses. MTNL plunged over 7% to $4.60. Tata Communications tumbled over 5% to $19.74, and ICICI Bank shed 4% at $31.31. Patni Computers dropped 3.6% to $9.91. Sterlite and HDFC Bank slipped 3% each to $13.78 and $99.33, respectively.
