Wall St up; Crude up, ADRs mixed

The Dow Jones industrial average index ended at a new record high at 11,981, up 20 points. The Nasdaq advanced seven points to 2364.

Indian ADRs ended on a mixed note. ICICI Bank rallied 2.4% to $33.09. Wipro and HDFC Bank surged over 2% each to $15 and $69.31, respectively. Satyam spurted over 1% to $43.95. Patni Computers and Tata Motors slipped over 1% each to $19.70 and $19.95, respectively.

The crude oil futures for November delivery moved up 31 cents to settle at $60.25 per barrel on the NYMEX.
