Welspun Corp gains on Rs 1,738-cr orders

Welspun Corp has moved higher by 2.4% at Rs 123 after the company said it has won pipes orders worth of Rs 1,738 crore from international and domestic markets.

“With the addition of these orders, the current order book of the company stands at Rs 9,185 crore, without excluding the order being executed in the current quarter,” Welspun Corp said in a filing.

The stock opened at Rs 120 and hit a high of Rs 124 on the National Stock Exchange. A combined around 450,000 shares have changed hands on the counter so far.
