Sci-fi horror flick 'Alien' has been named as the best frightening creation from film history after beating the monstrous characters like 'Freddy Krueger' and 'Jaws'.
The movie directed by Ridley Scott in 1979 grabbed the title of Greatest Movie Monster appeared on screen almost 40 years ago and saw three sequels later, the Mirror reported.
Skeleton Army from 1963's 'Jason and the Argonauts' and The Thing from 'The Thing' grabbed the second and third spot respectively.
The role of Freddy Krueger from 'A Nightmare on Elm Street' secured the fourth position whereas the man-eating shark from 'Jaws' grabbed the fifth spot in a poll by Radio Times.
Literary monster Dracula, Godzilla and killer doll Chucky from 'Child's Play' are rounded the top 10 list.
