New Zealand middle-order batsman Grant Elliot admitted that he felt immense pressure before hitting the match-winning six off Dale Steyn's delivery to steer his side to the first World Cup final.
Elliot struck an unbeaten 84 runs as New Zealand chased down their 298-run target (D/L Method) on the second last ball of the innings against South Africa.
An ecstatic Elliot said that he felt the pressure with two balls left, and Daniel Vettori said he wasn't going to run to the keeper again, so he knew it was up to him, admitting that he had two balls to try to take them home, Sport24 reported.
However, Elliot insisted that he felt quite sorry for the South African guys for losing the game, admitting that it could have been them sitting there having missed the last two balls, and he would have been pretty gutted as well, along with 40 000 people in the stadium.
