Puducherry Chief Minister V. Narayanasamy on Friday denied any link with the posters that portrayed Lieutenant Governor Kiran Bedi as German dictator Adolf Hitler.
Talking to ANI, the Chief Minsiter said office of the Lieutenant Governor is sacrosanct and he would never approve posters portraying state Lieutenant Governor as Hitler.
"The office of LG is sacrosanct. As far as I am concerned, I will never approve such kind of posters that appeared," he told ANI.
Making an indirect reference to Bedi, he said that had everybody followed the rule book then this kind of situation would not have occurred.
Narayanasamy, who shares bitter relations with LG Bedi, appealed people not to repeat the mistake of showing the LG in bad light.
The Chief Minister's clarification came after Kiran Bedi on Friday said no one has the right lower the status of the constitutional authority.
On Thursday, Bedi shared images of the posters that portrayed her as Hitler on Twitter.

The altercation between the Congress-led Puducherry government and the office of the Lieutenant Governor triggered after the Centre nominated three persons as the members of the Legislative Assembly on July 4.
The three members nominated by the Centre and inducted as members of the Puducherry Assembly were V. Saminathan, K.G. Shankar and S. Selvaganapathy. All three are associated with the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP).
The Congress alleged that the Centre had finalised the names of the three nominated MLAs in an arbitrary manner 'without adhering to democratic procedures' and Bedi administered oath to them secretly.
The Congress also protested against the induction and called for bandh on July 8 in Puducherry.
