Ryan Gosling defends wife Eva Mendes over 'sweatpants' comment

Ryan Gosling has defended his wife, Eva Mendes, saying that she was definitely not anti-sweatpants, after the actress blamed the clothing to be number one cause for divorce in America.

The 34-year-old 'Drive' star took to Twitter and clarified saying "Obviously sweatpants thing was a joke. Wearing them now. That's right, tweeting in sweatpants", New York Post reported.

The 41-year-old newly mom too later posted a picture of her favorite sweatpants on Instagram and wrote alongside "Dear favorite pair of sweatpants. I was just kidding when I said you're the #1 cause of divorce," adding "Everyone knows that orange crocs are the #1 cause of divorce," in a humorous way.

 

Mendes said it was either way a bad joke and she felt terrible that people would think she was serious.
