Auto stocks slide
Auto stocks were trading with losses, with the S&P BSE Auto index decreasing 182.87 points or 0.98% at 18557.06 at 13:48 IST.
Among the components of the S&P BSE Auto index, TVS Motor Company Ltd (down 2.43%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd (down 2.12%),Eicher Motors Ltd (down 1.48%),Maruti Suzuki India Ltd (down 1.23%),Tata Motors Ltd (down 1.1%), were the top losers. Among the other losers were Amara Raja Batteries Ltd (down 1.04%), Exide Industries Ltd (down 1%), Hero MotoCorp Ltd (down 0.92%), MRF Ltd (down 0.8%), and Balkrishna Industries Ltd (down 0.75%).
On the other hand, Ashok Leyland Ltd (up 1.12%), Bosch Ltd (up 0.61%), and Cummins India Ltd (up 0.26%) turned up.
At 13:48 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 149.14 or 0.36% at 41379.77.
The Nifty 50 index was down 42.35 points or 0.35% at 12182.2.
The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 6.57 points or 0.04% at 14657.74.
The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was down 9.24 points or 0.18% at 5012.22.
On BSE,1011 shares were trading in green, 1332 were trading in red and 163 were unchanged.
