Banking shares under pressure

Banking stocks were trading in the negative zone, with the S&P BSE BANKEX index falling 95.27 points or 0.26% at 36866.36 at 13:48 IST.
Among the components of the S&P BSE BANKEX index, Federal Bank Ltd (down 1.13%), State Bank of India (down 1.08%), ICICI Bank Ltd (down 0.98%), Axis Bank Ltd (down 0.89%), and Yes Bank Ltd (down 0.62%), were the top losers.
On the other hand, RBL Bank Ltd (up 2.44%), IndusInd Bank Ltd (up 0.95%), and HDFC Bank Ltd (up 0.4%) moved up.
At 13:48 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 49.59 or 0.12% at 41525.55.
The Nifty 50 index was down 15.6 points or 0.13% at 12230.2.

The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was up 12.66 points or 0.27% at 4759.11.
On BSE,1250 shares were trading in green, 1146 were trading in red and 172 were unchanged.
