Quick Wrap: Nifty Bank Index gains 3.67%, NIFTY jumps 1.68%

Nifty Bank index closed up 3.67% at 28785.85 today. The index has gained 5.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, IndusInd Bank Ltd added 5.45%, Yes Bank Ltd slipped 5.26% and ICICI Bank Ltd gained 4.95%. The Nifty Bank index has soared 17.00% over last one year compared to the 9.83% increase in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Private Bank index gained 3.47% and Nifty PSU Bank index added 3.10% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 added 1.68% to close at 11313.3 while the SENSEX recorded a gain of 1.72% to close at 38177.95 today.
