Capital Goods shares gain
Capital Goods stocks were trading in the positive zone, with the S&P BSE Capital Goods index rising 172.77 points or 1.58% at 11130.31 at 09:53 IST.
Among the components of the S&P BSE Capital Goods index, Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (up 2.95%), Larsen & Toubro Ltd (up 2.64%),Bharat Electronics Ltd (up 2.25%),Grindwell Norton Ltd (up 2.1%),NBCC (India) Ltd (up 1.77%), were the top gainers. Among the other gainers were Siemens Ltd (up 1.43%), Graphite India Ltd (up 0.78%), HEG Ltd (up 0.74%), Bharat Forge Ltd (up 0.7%), and GMR Infrastructure Ltd (up 0.58%).
On the other hand, Havells India Ltd (down 2.48%), Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (down 0.75%), and AIA Engineering Ltd (down 0.73%) moved lower.
At 09:53 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 315.33 or 1.04% at 30511.5.
The Nifty 50 index was up 90.55 points or 1.02% at 8969.65.
The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 35.42 points or 0.34% at 10390.6.
The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was up 23.04 points or 0.63% at 3687.79.
On BSE,794 shares were trading in green, 546 were trading in red and 73 were unchanged.
