Capital Goods stocks edge lower
Capital Goods stocks were trading in red, with the S&P BSE Capital Goods index decreasing 170.82 points or 1.05% at 16091.46 at 13:52 IST.
Among the components of the S&P BSE Capital Goods index, GMR Infrastructure Ltd (down 2.35%), Kalpataru Power Transmission Ltd (down 1.74%),Larsen & Toubro Ltd (down 1.53%),Schaeffler India Ltd (down 1.39%),Honeywell Automation India Ltd (down 1.29%), were the top losers. Among the other losers were NBCC (India) Ltd (down 1.02%), Grindwell Norton Ltd (down 0.96%), Thermax Ltd (down 0.95%), Bharat Electronics Ltd (down 0.91%), and V-Guard Industries Ltd (down 0.91%).
On the other hand, Lakshmi Machine Works Ltd (up 4.58%), HEG Ltd (up 1.19%), and Graphite India Ltd (up 1.17%) turned up.
At 13:52 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 135.69 or 0.34% at 40145.51.
The Nifty 50 index was down 42.45 points or 0.36% at 11755.45.
The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 9.99 points or 0.07% at 14458.
The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was down 20.28 points or 0.41% at 4960.98.
On BSE,938 shares were trading in green, 1340 were trading in red and 151 were unchanged.
