Consumer Durables stocks edge higher

Consumer Durables stocks were trading with gains, with the S&P BSE Consumer Durables index increasing 79.1 points or 0.43% at 18381.88 at 09:53 IST.

Among the components of the S&P BSE Consumer Durables index, Crompton Greaves Consumer Electrical Ltd (up 1.61%), Rajesh Exports Ltd (up 1.27%),Symphony Ltd (up 1.2%),Voltas Ltd (up 0.48%),TTK Prestige Ltd (up 0.27%), were the top gainers. Among the other gainers were Titan Company Ltd (up 0.25%), and V I P Industries Ltd (up 0.05%).

On the other hand, Orient Electric Ltd (down 0.42%), and Blue Star Ltd (down 0.24%) turned lower.

At 09:53 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 26.47 or 0.09% at 30959.37.

 

The Nifty 50 index was up 8.35 points or 0.09% at 9114.6.

The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 59.04 points or 0.56% at 10607.17.

The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was up 20.6 points or 0.55% at 3762.65.

On BSE,786 shares were trading in green, 560 were trading in red and 77 were unchanged.
