FMCG shares gain

FMCG stocks were trading with gains, with the S&P BSE FMCG Sector index rising 56.86 points or 0.55% at 10416.07 at 09:53 IST.

Among the components of the S&P BSE FMCG Sector index, Associated Alcohols & Breweries Ltd (up 5.67%), Avadh Sugar & Energy Ltd (up 4.99%),Balrampur Chini Mills Ltd (up 4.98%),Dalmia Bharat Sugar & Industries Ltd (up 4.97%),Triveni Engineering and Industries Ltd (up 4.96%), were the top gainers. Among the other gainers were Dhampur Sugar Mills Ltd (up 4.49%), Mcleod Russel India Ltd (up 3.47%), Dwarikesh Sugar Industries Ltd (up 3.38%), Coastal Corporation Ltd (up 2.86%), and VST Industries Ltd (up 2.83%).

 

On the other hand, Sanwaria Consumer Ltd (down 4.76%), ADF Foods Ltd (down 3.31%), and Heritage Foods Ltd (down 2.98%) moved lower.

At 09:53 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 26.47 or 0.09% at 30959.37.

The Nifty 50 index was up 8.35 points or 0.09% at 9114.6.

The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 59.04 points or 0.56% at 10607.17.

The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was up 20.6 points or 0.55% at 3762.65.

On BSE,786 shares were trading in green, 560 were trading in red and 77 were unchanged.
