Consumer Durables stocks soar
Consumer Durables stocks were trading in green, with the S&P BSE Consumer Durables index increasing 236.21 points or 0.96% at 24933.99 at 09:47 IST.
Among the components of the S&P BSE Consumer Durables index, Titan Company Ltd (up 1.7%), V I P Industries Ltd (up 1%),Symphony Ltd (up 0.85%),Crompton Greaves Consumer Electrical Ltd (up 0.81%),Bajaj Electricals Ltd (up 0.32%), were the top gainers. Among the other gainers were Rajesh Exports Ltd (up 0.23%), and Blue Star Ltd (up 0.1%).
On the other hand, Whirlpool of India Ltd (down 0.82%), TTK Prestige Ltd (down 0.44%), and Voltas Ltd (down 0.17%) turned lower.
At 09:47 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 94.53 or 0.23% at 41768.45.
The Nifty 50 index was up 29.1 points or 0.24% at 12288.8.
The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 48.78 points or 0.36% at 13444.21.
The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was up 14.6 points or 0.31% at 4718.21.
On BSE,861 shares were trading in green, 465 were trading in red and 65 were unchanged.
