Consumer goods stocks slide

Consumer goods stocks were trading with losses, with the S&P BSE Consumer Discretionary Goods & Services index decreasing 11.77 points or 0.31% at 3727.1 at 13:48 IST.

Among the components of the S&P BSE Consumer Discretionary Goods & Services index, TCNS Clothing Co. Ltd (down 6.98%), Prabhat Technologies (India) Ltd (down 5%),Sintex Industries Ltd (down 4.82%),Unitech Ltd (down 4.76%),Housing Development & Infrastructure Ltd (down 4.47%), were the top losers. Among the other losers were D B Realty Ltd (down 3.67%), Kaya Ltd (down 2.91%), Rane Holdings Ltd (down 2.9%), Talwalkars Healthclubs Ltd (down 2.86%), and Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd (down 2.61%).

 

On the other hand, V2 Retail Ltd (up 12.38%), Indiabulls Real Estate Ltd (up 9.61%), and Arvind Fashions Ltd (up 5.72%) turned up.

At 13:48 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 104.32 or 0.25% at 41453.68.

The Nifty 50 index was down 26.7 points or 0.22% at 12229.15.

The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 64.58 points or 0.47% at 13713.33.

The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was up 15.72 points or 0.33% at 4781.05.

On BSE,1311 shares were trading in green, 1075 were trading in red and 166 were unchanged.
