Financials shares fall

Financials stocks were trading in the negative zone, with the S&P BSE Finance index falling 301.88 points or 6.08% at 4664.13 at 13:52 IST.

Among the components of the S&P BSE Finance index, IndusInd Bank Ltd (down 29.99%), Edelweiss Financial Services Ltd (down 19.95%),CreditAccess Grameen Ltd (down 18.76%),AU Small Finance Bank Ltd (down 18.54%),Bandhan Bank Ltd (down 17.3%), were the top losers. Among the other losers were Equitas Holdings Ltd (down 17.2%), MAS Financial Services Ltd (down 15.34%), Dolat Investments Ltd (down 13.96%), Indiabulls Housing Finance Ltd (down 12.87%), and Nippon Life India Asset Management Ltd (down 11.77%).

On the other hand, Yes Bank Ltd (up 5.03%), JM Financial Ltd (up 4.47%), and REC Ltd (up 3.97%) moved up.

 

At 13:52 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 1117.84 or 3.66% at 29461.25.

The Nifty 50 index was down 348 points or 3.88% at 8619.05.

The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was down 583.71 points or 5.38% at 10260.08.

The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was down 184.04 points or 4.83% at 3627.67.

On BSE,351 shares were trading in green, 1927 were trading in red and 139 were unchanged.
