Healthcare stocks edge lower
Healthcare stocks were trading in red, with the S&P BSE Healthcare index decreasing 92.59 points or 0.68% at 13510.74 at 13:48 IST.
Among the components of the S&P BSE Healthcare index, Suven Life Sciences Ltd (down 16.77%), Opto Circuits (India) Ltd (down 4.75%),Granules India Ltd (down 3.91%),ERIS Lifesciences Ltd (down 3.81%),Vimta Labs Ltd (down 3.41%), were the top losers. Among the other losers were Vivimed Labs Ltd (down 3.05%), Sun Pharma Advanced Research Company Ltd (down 3.02%), Indoco Remedies Ltd (down 2.8%), Dishman Carbogen Amcis Ltd (down 2.66%), and Ipca Laboratories Ltd (down 2.65%).
On the other hand, Novartis India Ltd (up 6.65%), Medicamen Biotech Ltd (up 3.94%), and Astrazeneca Pharma India Ltd (up 3.87%) turned up.
At 13:48 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 6.25 or 0.02% at 40800.06.
The Nifty 50 index was down 9.7 points or 0.08% at 12046.35.
The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was down 54.76 points or 0.4% at 13505.81.
The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was down 24.57 points or 0.52% at 4737.21.
On BSE,940 shares were trading in green, 1401 were trading in red and 188 were unchanged.
