Forex reserves eases to US$ 429.0 billion as on 02 August 2019
India's foreign exchange reserves declined by US$ 0.70 billion to US$ 428.95 billion in the week ended 02 August 2019. The foreign exchange reserves had stood at US$ 429.65 a week ago.Within the foreign exchange reserves, the foreign currency assets declined to US$ 398.72 billion in the week ended 02 August 2019 from US$ 399.36 billion a week ago.
The gold assets eased marginally to US$ 25.16 billion from US$ 25.33 billion a week ago. SDRs were flat at US$ 1.43 billion in the week ended 02 August 2019.
India's foreign exchange reserves increased by US$ 16.08 billion over March 2019, while jumped US$ 26.25 billion over a year ago level, mainly driven by the increase in foreign currency assets.
