Information Technology shares gain

Information Technology stocks were trading in the positive zone, with the S&P BSE IT Sector index rising 134.88 points or 0.87% at 15574.45 at 09:48 IST.

Among the components of the S&P BSE IT Sector index, AXISCADES Engineering Technologies Ltd (up 12.15%), Tata Elxsi Ltd (up 3.5%),Ramco Systems Ltd (up 2.99%),Quick Heal Technologies Ltd (up 2.38%),Firstsource Solutions Ltd (up 2.12%), were the top gainers. Among the other gainers were Persistent Systems Ltd (up 2.04%), Sonata Software Ltd (up 1.94%), Nucleus Software Exports Ltd (up 1.51%), Mindtree Ltd (up 1.4%), and Tech Mahindra Ltd (up 1.39%).

On the other hand, NIIT Ltd (down 1.29%), Zen Technologies Ltd (down 1.21%), and NIIT Technologies Ltd (down 0.86%) moved lower.

 

At 09:48 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 100.64 or 0.24% at 41452.81.

The Nifty 50 index was up 29.6 points or 0.24% at 12194.6.

The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 44.67 points or 0.33% at 13438.44.

The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was up 6.56 points or 0.14% at 4715.55.

On BSE,800 shares were trading in green, 507 were trading in red and 76 were unchanged.
