Information Technology shares rise

Information Technology stocks were trading with gains, with the S&P BSE IT Sector index rising 323.2 points or 2.39% at 13857.32 at 09:53 IST.

Among the components of the S&P BSE IT Sector index, Sasken Technologies Ltd (up 9.52%), Intellect Design Arena Ltd (up 4.97%),HCL Infosystems Ltd (up 4.85%),D-Link India Ltd (up 4.46%),Subex Ltd (up 4.44%), were the top gainers. Among the other gainers were Mphasis Ltd (up 3.16%), Oracle Financial Services Software Ltd (up 3.09%), Newgen Software Technologies Ltd (up 2.91%), Infosys Ltd (up 2.8%), and Larsen & Toubro Infotech Ltd (up 2.77%).

On the other hand, AXISCADES Engineering Technologies Ltd (down 3.38%), Kellton Tech Solutions Ltd (down 3.37%), and TVS Electronics Ltd (down 3.28%) moved lower.

 

At 09:53 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 539.17 or 1.7% at 32181.87.

The Nifty 50 index was up 164.75 points or 1.78% at 9416.25.

The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 90.65 points or 0.85% at 10729.35.

The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was up 41.51 points or 1.1% at 3798.37.

On BSE,1057 shares were trading in green, 404 were trading in red and 75 were unchanged.
