Information Technology shares rise
Information Technology stocks were trading with gains, with the S&P BSE IT Sector index rising 22.24 points or 0.17% at 13336.39 at 09:53 IST.
Among the components of the S&P BSE IT Sector index, Zen Technologies Ltd (up 5.71%), Subex Ltd (up 4.92%),AXISCADES Engineering Technologies Ltd (up 4.49%),NELCO Ltd (up 3.49%),L&T Technology Services Ltd (up 3.38%), were the top gainers. Among the other gainers were 3i Infotech Ltd (up 2.98%), Zensar Technologies Ltd (up 1.95%), HCL Infosystems Ltd (up 1.58%), Oracle Financial Services Software Ltd (up 1.3%), and Infosys Ltd (up 0.76%).
On the other hand, Birlasoft Ltd (down 5.85%), eClerx Services Ltd (down 5.23%), and Cerebra Integrated Technologies Ltd (down 4.88%) moved lower.
At 09:53 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 723.18 or 2.33% at 30374.55.
The Nifty 50 index was down 191.6 points or 2.1% at 8945.25.
The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was down 179.79 points or 1.68% at 10509.07.
The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was down 74.11 points or 1.96% at 3715.66.
On BSE,406 shares were trading in green, 1037 were trading in red and 98 were unchanged.
