Information Technology shares fall

Information Technology stocks were trading in the negative zone, with the S&P BSE IT Sector index falling 55.39 points or 0.34% at 16175.27 at 13:48 IST.

Among the components of the S&P BSE IT Sector index, Zensar Technologies Ltd (down 10.99%), NIIT Technologies Ltd (down 2.53%),CESC Ventures Ltd (down 2.36%),Aptech Ltd (down 1.64%),TVS Electronics Ltd (down 1.08%), were the top losers. Among the other losers were Sasken Technologies Ltd (down 1%), Cigniti Technologies Ltd (down 0.98%), Infosys Ltd (down 0.9%), AXISCADES Engineering Technologies Ltd (down 0.53%), and Persistent Systems Ltd (down 0.51%).

On the other hand, Ramco Systems Ltd (up 12.39%), Cerebra Integrated Technologies Ltd (up 4.99%), and D-Link India Ltd (up 4.78%) moved up.

 

At 13:48 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 211.71 or 0.51% at 41598.11.

The Nifty 50 index was up 68.65 points or 0.56% at 12249.

The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 84.93 points or 0.57% at 14857.25.

The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was up 38.37 points or 0.76% at 5102.46.

On BSE,1394 shares were trading in green, 965 were trading in red and 159 were unchanged.
