Nifty August futures trade at premium
RIL, IRCTC & Infy were the top traded contracts.
The Nifty August 2022 futures closed at 18,000.95, a premium of 44.5 points compared with the Nifty's closing of 17,956.50 in the cash market.
Turnover on the National Stock Exchange's futures & options (F&O) segment was Rs 260.96 lakh crore compared with Rs 97.78 lakh crore reported in the previous session.
In the cash market, the Nifty 50 index added 12.25 points or 0.07% to settle at 17,956.50.
The NSE's India VIX, a gauge of the market's expectation of volatility over the near term, fell 1.85% to 17.35.
Reliance Industries, IRCTC and Infosys were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE.
The August 2022 F&O contracts will expire on 25 August 2022.
