Oil and Gas shares edge higher

Oil and Gas stocks were trading in green, with the S&P BSE Oil&Gas index rising 61.77 points or 0.33% at 18560.29 at 09:47 IST.

Among the components of the S&P BSE Oil&Gas index, Reliance Industries Ltd (up 1.84%), Adani Total Gas Ltd (up 1.83%), Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (up 0.15%), and Gujarat Gas Ltd (up 0.04%), were the top gainers.

On the other hand, Indraprastha Gas Ltd (down 2.08%), Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (down 1.23%), and Oil & Natural Gas Corpn Ltd (down 0.8%) moved lower.

At 09:47 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 38.7 or 0.07% at 55342.47.

The Nifty 50 index was down 34.8 points or 0.21% at 16487.95.

 

The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 8.26 points or 0.03% at 26542.79.

The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was down 20.19 points or 0.25% at 8165.27.

On BSE,1473 shares were trading in green, 1186 were trading in red and 131 were unchanged.
