Quick Wrap: Nifty Private Bank Index declines 6.90%, NIFTY Tumbles 3.43%

Nifty Private Bank index ended down 6.90% at 9603.2 today. The index is down 14.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, IndusInd Bank Ltd slipped 10.02%, RBL Bank Ltd dropped 9.51% and Federal Bank Ltd shed 9.49%. The Nifty Private Bank index is down 42.00% over last one year compared to the 22.65% decline in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Media index is down 6.77% and Nifty Bank index has dropped 6.69% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 has slid 3.43% to close at 8823.25 while the SENSEX is down 3.44% to close at 30028.98 today.
