Real Estate shares slide
Real Estate stocks were trading with losses, with the S&P BSE Realty Index index falling 48.7 points or 3.41% at 1378.12 at 13:53 IST.
Among the components of the S&P BSE Realty Index index, Oberoi Realty Ltd (down 8.24%), DLF Ltd (down 6.2%),Sobha Ltd (down 4.98%),Prestige Estates Projects Ltd (down 3.6%),Sunteck Realty Ltd (down 2.49%), were the top losers. Among the other losers were Godrej Properties Ltd (down 1.88%), Omaxe Ltd (down 0.97%), and Mahindra Lifespace Developers Ltd (down 0.55%).
On the other hand, Phoenix Mills Ltd (up 5.99%), and Indiabulls Real Estate Ltd (up 0.24%) moved up.
At 13:53 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 270.08 or 0.85% at 31593.
The Nifty 50 index was down 58.65 points or 0.63% at 9255.25.
The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was down 94.48 points or 0.88% at 10690.56.
The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was down 40.67 points or 1.08% at 3735.45.
On BSE,778 shares were trading in green, 1397 were trading in red and 149 were unchanged.
