Delhi lawyers to go on strike on Thursday

Lawyers in Delhi will abstain from work on Thursday to oppose the BCI's suggestion to the Law Commission to ban strikes by advocates and impose penalties too.
"We are holding a one-day strike opposing the arbitrary suggestion of the Bar Council of India (BCI) to the Law Commission," said New Delhi Bar Association President Santosh Mishra.
The strike will affect all six district courts: Patiala House, Tis Hazari, Rohini, Karkardooma, Saket and Dwarka.
