The CPI(M) has already lost connection with the common people of West Bengal. This is evident from the recent electoral performances of the party in the state. Now, in the CPI(M)’s party headquarters near Gol Market, the party is facing serious problems with telephone and net connections for the last few days. Only a few telephone lines are working because pavements and roads have been dug as part of a beautification drive. Even Prakash Karat’s direct telephone line is dead for the past three or four days. The tech-savvy comrades, who love writing long theoretical articles on computers rather than sweating it out among the masses, are crippled as internet connections are not working.
