Oppn demands CAG report to be placed before Assembly

Demanding that CAG reports relating to the accounts of the state be placed before the Assembly, Opposition leader Surya Kanta Mishra today wrote to West Bengal Governor requesting appropriate steps in this regard.

"The CAG report relating to the accounts of the state for the year 2010-2011 was laid in the Assembly on September 24, 2012. Since then no such report for the years 2011-12 and 2012-2013, has been laid in the House," Mishra said in his letter.

Mishra said that reports particularly for financial year 2011-12, was overdue and not laid before the House.
