400 inducted into CRPF as constables

"CRPF is not only playing important role in maintaining law and order but also instrumental in natural calamities and welfare works to help people of the country," SDG Anirudh Uppal, who took salute at the passing out parade, said.

While Raman Kumar was given the best trainee award, Bheem Raj was adjudged the best shooter, Ajay Kumar the best in indoor and Bhagwan best in outdoor, the spokesman said.

The recruits, hailing from different states of the country including 32 from Jammu and Kashmir, will perform a wide range of duties, a CRPF constable said.
