Congress leader dares Modi to arrest over housing promise

Modi had earlier said that Congress was misleading the people, and it was a crime.

"If it is so, what prevents Modi from arresting us?" asked Patel here today.

The Congress leader said that "overwhelming response" to the scheme had worried Modi. Though Congress has promised to provide houses to women after coming to power, party's state unit had distributed 32 lakh application forms so far, according to Patel.

Patel also said that Congress government would construct 15 lakh houses for the rural women. The beneficiaries would repay the cost of Rs one lakh over fifteen years.
