A 35-year-old farmer was allegedly shot dead by three unknown men at Lothra village here, police said today.
The victim, identified as Dhanpal Singh was shot at during the intervening night of Friday and Saturday by a group of three armed men at Lothra village, they said.
Though the victim tried to escape his tormentors, he was later ghearoed by the accused and shot dead, police said, adding that Singh died on the spot.
A case has been registered against unidentified men on the complaint of the deceased's son Manoj Kumar, they said.
No arrests have been made so far in the case, police added.
