Pakistan is likely to allow the FBI to interrogate two men arrested in the country for their involvement in cybercrimes including defrauding victims of more than USD 50 million, officials said today.

Noor Azizuddin and Furhanul Arshad, each carrying USD 50,000 bounty, were nabbed in southern city of Karachi on February 14 by Pakistani authorities.

An official said the US is interested to interrogate the accused who are part of a gang that alleged to have attacked the computer systems in November 2008 and April 2012. The gang was involved in a fraud of USD 50 million.

"We are thinking to let the US experts interrogate them," said an official.

The FBI websites lists the names of Azizuddin and Arshad as being involved in a conspiracy to commit wire fraud, gain unauthorised access to computers and identity theft.

The US authorities had issued arrest warrants for both accused in 2012.

The fraud involved members of a criminal gang that has links within Pakistan, Philippines, Saudi Arabia, Switzerland, Spain, Singapore, Italy and Malaysia.
