Gram dal and sugar prices rise

Prices of gram dal and sugar moved up while maida and wheat prices were down in the wholesale foodgrains market here today while all other commodities ruled steady.

Gram dal increased by Rs 100 per quintal to Rs 6,000 from yesterday's rate of Rs 5,900.

Sugar was up by Rs 150 per quintal to Rs 3,550 from its previous rate of Rs 3,400.

Wheat prices moved down by Rs 100 per quintal to Rs 2,600 from its last rate of Rs 2,700.

Maida(90 kg) decreased by Rs 100 to Rs 2,400 from Rs 2,500.

Thoor dal, urad dal, moong dal and sooji(90 kg) prices ruled steady.
 

Following are the wholesale rates of various agri-commodities (rates in rupees per quintal, unless stated otherwise): Thoor Dal Rs 12,700, Urad Dal Rs 13,400, Moong Dal Rs 9,000, Gram Dal Rs 6,000, Sugar Rs 3,550, Wheat Rs 2,600, Maida (90 kg) Rs 2,400 and Sooji (90 kg) Rs 3,200.
