Gorkha Janmukti Morcha chief Bimal Gurung today urged West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee to complete the transfer of departments to Gorkha Territorial Administration (GTA) to strengthen the semi-autonomous body in the Hills.
Gurung, also the GTA Chief Executive, was accompanied by Binay Tamang, an executive member.
"Pending works regarding transfer of departments to GTA was discussed with the CM, who asked the Home Secretary to look into the matter," Gurung told reporters after the over half-an-hour long meeting which was also attended by Home Secretary Basudeb Banerjee.

Gurung, however, described the meeting as a 'courtesy call' saying, "I am here to offer puja at Kalighat temple.
In response to a question, Gurung said, "I have not come here to attend the BJP meeting addressed by its president Amit Shah." Gurung, however, did not say anything to another query on whether he would cooperate with the state government.
When asked whether the issue about withdrawal of police cases against GJM leaders and workers came up in the meeting with the Home Secretary, Gurung said, "Not that way since the issue is a political one.
