The weather in Gangetic West Bengal today remained within bearable limits despite high humidity in some parts with the day temperature reading a degree or two higher than normal.
The highest day temperature of 40.1 degrees Celsius was recorded at Bankura in the western part of the state, according to the Met department here.
It was followed by Sriniketan, Burdwan and Asansol with temperature being recorded at 38.5 degrees, 38.4 degrees and 38.3 degrees Celsius, the weatherman said.
