HP guv, CM condole demise of chief justice's father

Himachal Pradesh Governor Acharya Dev Vrat and Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur Tuesday condoled the death of the father of Chief Justice of HP High Court Surya Kant, an official statement said Tuesday.

Madan Gopal Shashtri passed away at a hospital in Haryana's Hisar on Monday night. He was 90.

The governor and the chief minister have expressed their deep sympathies with Shashtri's family members and prayed for the peace of the departed soul, the statement said.
