Man shot dead in Malda

A 35-year-old person was shot

dead by another man on a dispute over installation of a shop at a fair at Jalalpur in this district today.

Nur Nabi Sheikh was killed when he was locked with an altercation with a man who wanted to instal a shop at a place already chosen by Sheikh on the Rath Yatra festival on July 18, police said.

The assailant was absconding.
