Mentha oil prices edged up by 0.20 per cent to Rs 806.10 per kg in futures trading today as participants created fresh positions after demand from consuming industries picked up in the spot market.
Besides, tight stocks position on restricted supplies from major producing regions of Chandausi in Uttar Pradesh supported the upside.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in April moved up by Rs 1.60, or 0.20 per cent, to Rs 806.10 per kg, in a business turnover of 397 lots.

On similar lines, the oil for delivery in far-month May edged up by 90 paise, or 0.11 per cent, to Rs 816.10 per kg in 47 lots.
Analysts said fresh positions built up by traders supported by improved demand from consuming industries in the spot markets mainly led to the rise in mentha oil prices at futures trade.
