Mizoram govt gives Rs 10 lakh to widow of slain employee

Mizoram Excise and Narcotics Minister R. Lalzirliana today gave Rs ten lakh to the wife of F. Zatluanga, a driver in the state excise and narcotics department, who was killed by drug traffickers in February, 2014.

Zatluanga was killed on February 11, 2014 by drug traffickers in south Mizoram's Lunglei town while performing his official duty.

The cheque was given as eex-gratia to the bereaved family.

Meanwhile, the state government, in view of the coming Christmas and New Year Festival declared December 24, 25, 26 and 31 and also January one as dry days.
