A 22-year-old man, a relative of the Pradhan of Jav village, allegedly tried to molest a 14-year-old girl, police said today.
The incident happened last evening, when Netrapal -- nephew of Pradhan and son of Padam of Jav village under Kosi Kalan police station -- went to the house of the girl's aunt at about 8 PM and told her that she was being called by her parents, they said.
When the girl came out of her aunt's house, Netrapal took her to a nearby field and tried to molest her, police said.
The girl's parents today went to police after she narrated them the whole incident.
"The family members of accused are absconding," police added.
