Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar today said the state government is contemplating to frame a new policy for recovery of pending arrears of electricity bills.
The Chief Minister stated this while presiding over a meeting of district officers at Jhajjar today, said an official release.
He said there is no shortage of electricity in the state and the government is committed to provide round-the-clock electricity to consumers.

"But people should realise that they have to pay for the facility they are availing," he asserted.
The chief minister directed the officers to bridge the gap between them and administration so as to maintain faith of people in administrative system.
Saying that the priority of the state government is to give transparent and corruption-free administration, Khattar added that "the officers and officials would have to stay away from lust for power and lust for money".
He said the state government will disburse all types of social security pensions through banks after two months so as to bring transparency in the pension distribution system.
