Noise pollution up this Diwali

The noise pollution increased due to bursting of large number of firecrackers by revellers, BPCB Chairman Subhash Chandra Singh told reporters.
He said Patna has ranked high among the cities in noise pollution which has increased consistently over the years and residents should abide by measures to check pollution.
Noise pollution in the city has gone up due to increase in the number of vehicles, use of generator sets and blaring of horns by vehicles among others causing health problems like irritable behaviour, hearing problem, lack of sleep and hypertension.
