Over 8000 quintals of wheat, rice missing: Officials

On Sunday, UP minister of State for Food and Civil Supplies Rampal Rajwanshi inspected the godown, found some anomalies and ordered a probe, they said.

A team, headed by District Supply Officer Rakesh Saxena, checked the godown yesterday and found 8,409 quintals of wheat and rice missing.

The DSO said a report in this connection had been submitted to the District Magistrate.

Teams were constituted to check rest of the 18 godowns in the district, he said.
