Production has stopped on the upcoming unscripted series "Who Rules the World", after executive producer Morgan Spurlock publicly admitted to sexual misconduct in the past.
The TNT show, which centres on a wide range of women's issues, is in its initial stages of production.
According to the statement obtained by Variety, a TNT spokesperson said, "Production on 'Who Rules the World' (working title) has been suspended until further review."
The project is backed by Spurlock's Warrior Poets and actor Sarah Jessica Parker's Pretty Matches Productions with Refinery29 and Turner's Studio T.
Refinery29 and Pretty Matches also released a statement condemning Spurlock's behaviour.
"In light of recent revelations, Pretty Matches and Refinery29 are severing ties with Morgan Spurlock. We stand in solidarity with the victims. We are suspending production on 'Who Rules the World' (WT) to re-evaluate the best path forward for the project, and are more determined than ever to share women's stories through this series," the release read.
On December 14, Spurlock announced that he would resign from Warrior Poets after he admitted on Twitter he was accused of raping a female classmate in his college days. He would then go on to settle an eight-year-old sexual harassment allegation at his office.
In a lengthy post, titled 'I am Part of the Problem', the producer described the incident, saying he had "a one-night stand" with a girl who later accused him of rape.
