Select commodities fall

Barring thoor dal, which saw an increase in prices, urad dal, moong dal and gram dal decreased and other commodities ruled steady at the wholesale foodgrains market here during the week under review.

Opening the week at Rs 8,300, tur dal was up by Rs 200 per quintal from its closing rate of Rs 8,100 and ended the week at Rs 8,300.

Urad dal price fell by Rs 100 per quintal to Rs 7,800 on its opening day from Rs 7,900 and closed the week at its opening rate.

Moong dal was down by Rs 200 on its opening day at Rs 10,000 from its closing rate of Rs 10,200 and closed the week at Rs 10,000.
 

Gram dal decreased by Rs 50 per quintal to Rs 3,900 from its previous week of Rs 3,950 to finish the week at Rs 3,900.

Sugar (Rs 3,250), wheat (Rs 2,700), maida (Rs 2,500) and Sooji (90 kg) Rs 2,800 ruled steady throughout the week.
